Heesen Yachts delivers four new superyacths
The Dutch yard has delivered four yachts totalling 189m (620ft) in length
Heesen Yachts in the Netherlands has delivered four superyachts in 2011, and seven over the last 12 months — its highest number in a decade.
The Dutch yard’s order book now stretches into 2014, with 11 yachts from 40m-65m (131ft-213ft) in design or construction. Of this total, 64 per cent are made from aluminium.
The seventh delivery over the last 12 months will take place in late December, when the company’s first 55m (180ft) displacement yacht, the YN 15555, joins the Heesen fleet.
Four deliveries have already taken place this year. The first delivery, this summer, was the YN 14955 Quinta Essentia — a 55m (180ft) semi-displacement yacht that represents Heesen’s largest delivery to date.
The other three deliveries were the 47m displacement Ariadna (YN 15347), the 50m all-aluminium YN 15850, and the 37m Aurelia (YN 15737).
